I had an idea to combine two South East Asian similar cryptids into one. The Manananggal from the Philippines-- a blood sucking, viscera eating, vampiric creature who can split herself in two from the waist and sprout huge bat wings, and the Penanggalan, the malay/indonesian counterpart wherein instead of the waist, they can separate themselves from the neck and fly around with entrails hanging down the cut.
